More than 30 restaurants are expected to participate in this year’s event, with special prix fixe lunch and dinner menus.

Fairfield Magazine will host an opening reception in the Bruce S. Kershner Gallery at the Fairfield Public Library on Sunday, Oct. 11, at 4 p.m.

The gallery will present an exhibition featuring 30 of Fairfield Magazine's most iconic covers.

The opening reception will include a special "Taste of Fairfield," and "Best Dish" competition to kick off the exhibition and Fairfield's fourth annual Restaurant Week.

The event is free and open to the public.

First Selectman Mike Tetreau announced that Bankwell will be the lead sponsor of Fairfield Restaurant Week.

“We are grateful for Bankwell’s continued support of this popular, townwide event, which has quickly become an annual tradition celebrating Fairfield’s many fine restaurants," Tetreau said.

Bankwell Senior Vice President Robert Palermo added, “We are excited to again take part in this community event, and I look forward — like everyone else — to sampling the best that Fairfield’s restaurants have to offer.”

Full-service restaurants wishing to participate in Fairfield Restaurant Week or businesses interested in sponsorship opportunities should contact Mark Barnhart, Fairfield’s Director of Community and Economic Development, at 203-256-3120 or at mbarnhart@fairfieldct.org for more information.
