At the last Board of Selectmen’s meeting, First Selectman Mike Tetreau and Selectmen Shelia Marmion and Kevin Kiley had a drawing to announce the top two prize recipients.
Voros won the grand prize package, which includes one night’s stay, deluxe accommodations at the Delamar Southport, plus dinner for two at the Artisan Restaurant and a 60-minute couple’s massage. Young won dinner for four at The Grey Goose Restaurant in Southport.
A complete list of winners can be found at www.fairfieldct.org/rw.
Alongside the passport promotion, the town had a simultaneous social media campaign on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram for patrons who posted a photo of themselves enjoying a dish at one of the participating restaurants and included the hashtag #FairfieldRestaurantWeek in the caption.
The top two prize winners were Marie Genest of Milford, who won a stay package at the Fairfield Circle Inn, and John Kuhn of Fairfield, who won a $50 gift certificate to b.good Restaurant.
The town’s Community and Economic Development Department, which has spearheaded this event and similar retail-based initiatives, is asking community members to fill out a post-event survey by going to https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/FairfieldRW2015.
The department is offering a chance to win a $50 gift certificate to Crave Bar & Grill for those who complete the online survey by noon Monday. The survey is intended to get the public’s feedback on their dining out experience in Fairfield during Restaurant Week.
