Fairfield County Man Killed In Crash With Tractor-Trailer Police are investigating after a 74-year-old Connecticut man was killed during a two-vehicle crash in the Hudson Valley. The incident occurred in Dutchess County at the intersection of Route 22 and Route 55 in the town of Dover, a hamlet of Wingdale, around 3:45 p.m., Thursday, June 13. According to Capt. John Watterson of the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office, a 2010 Chevrolet pickup was on Route 55 preparing to enter traffic on northbound Route 22 when it pulled into the path of a 2020 Kenworth tractor-trailer. Pawling Shooting Victim Robbed Of Gucci Backpack, Thousands In Cash, Police Say A 34-year-old man told police he was shot and robbed by a person who jumped in his car while he was stopped to adjust his Bluetooth, the City of Poughkeepsie Police said. Police learned of the incident around noon Wednesday through a 911 call reporting a car crash in front of 52 Catherine St., said Det. Lt. Matt Clark. Additional calls reported a shooting victim in the same area, he added. Responding officers found a vehicle that had been involved in an accident, the driver, a Pawling resident, had been shot once in the leg. He was transported to Vassar Hospital for treatment.
