The super popular grocery store Wegmans Food Market is building its first store in Connecticut -- in Fairfield County. The store, which will be located in Norwalk, is currently in the planning stages with the city's Planning and Zoning Commission. Motorist Flees Scene After Vehicle Fire Forces Closure Of I-95 Stretch In Fairfield County
A motorist fled the scene after the vehicle they were driving caught fire in the middle of I-95 in Fairfield County. The incident took place around 10:25 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 10, when the Fairfield Communications Center received multiple 911 calls reporting a fire on the highway near Exit 19, in Fairfield, said the Fairfield Fire Department. Roadwork is expected to impact service on the Danbury Branch for consecutive weekends as crews complete a road realignment project, the MTA announced. There will be weeknight lane closures on the Merritt Parkway in Fairfield County for several days as contractors continue overnight bridge maintenance activity in Trumbull. On or about April 1, the City of Danbury will begin replacing the Reservoir Street bridge that crosses over the creek near the Bethel town line.
