Robert Barry, 78, of Woodbury, a former partner in the law firm of Sturges and Mathes in Southbury, was sentenced to 21 months in prison, followed by three years of supervised release after pleading guilty to wire fraud in September last year. Barry was also ordered to spend the first six months of his supervised release in home confinement when he was sentenced in Hartford district court this week. Woodbury resident Robert Barry waived his right to be indicted and pleaded guilty in Hartford federal court to one count of wire fraud for his role in a scheme to defraud elderly client trust accounts over the course of more than seven years.
