Search warrants were executed in New Haven County, in Shelton, Waterbury, and Wolcott, on Monday, March 21, as part of the investigation of the trafficking in the greater Waterbury area, according to Connecticut State Police. Suspect In 20-Plus CT Armed Robberies, Carjackings Apprehended, Being Held On $2.5M Bond A 24-year-old man wanted in Connecticut for a string of armed robberies and car jackings has been apprehended. On Friday, Dec. 17, the State Police Bureau of Special Investigations initiated an operation to locate and apprehend Christian Velez, who had been wanted by several agencies including the FBI.  Velez is suspected of having committed over 20 armed robberies with firearms, numerous car-jackings, and several assaults across Connecticut spanning back to September, state police said.
