Police Ask Public's Help In Search For Suspect Who Snatched Purse From Elderly Woman In Danbury Police in Danbury are seeking the public’s assistance as they attempt to track down a suspect involved snatching an elderly woman’s purse outside a church. Over the weekend, the Danbury Police Department released an alert announcing that they are investigating a purse snatching incident that took place at approximately 7 p.m. on Oct. 22 on Center Street, near St. Peter’s Church. Police said that surveillance video of the suspect showed that he was wearing a blood hooded sweatshirt, dark pants and light shoes at the time of the snatching.
