Police in Connecticut are investigating after a popular smoke shop was heavily damaged by a smash-and-grab robber. The incident took place in Hartford County around 4:20 a.m., Monday, Feb. 26 at the Land Smoke Shop at 722 West Street in Southington. According to Lt. Keith Egan of the Southington Police, a vehicle with several people inside drove into the building, causing significant damage, looted the inside of the building, and then fled. Police In CT Investigating Assault Of Girl First Reported As Possible Kidnapping
Police in Connecticut are investigating after receiving numerous calls of an alleged kidnapping of a girl that turned out to be an assault. The incident occurred in New Haven County around 3 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 22 on Golden Street in Meriden. According to Lt. Darrin McKay of the Meriden Police, after receiving the calls, officers responded to the area and found an unoccupied vehicle. Police in Connecticut are asking the public for help identifying a man who allegedly stole nearly $1,000 in LEGOs from a Target. The incident took place in Hartford County on Saturday, Feb. 3 at the Target in Southington. According to the Southington Police Department, the man stole four sets of LEGOs valued at more than $800 and walked out of the store. Anyone able to identify the man is asked to contact Officer S. A 25-year-old Connecticut man has been charged with allegedly strangling an associate to death. Litchfield County resident Brian Seholm, of Torrington, was charged on Thursday, Jan, 11, with the April 2023 death of Hartford County resident Dominick Francischelli, age 55, of Southington. Authorities are asking for the public's help in piecing together the details of a crash on I-84 that left one dead. It happened on Tuesday, Oct. 1 in the Hartford County town of Southington, according to Connecticut State Police. At approximately 1:45 p.m. near Exit 31 of the eastbound side, 38-year-old Eddie Hill was hit by a truck in the rightmost lane. A man faces numerous charges after allegedly stealing catalytic converters from vehicles throughout the Hudson Valley and Connecticut, including one that was parked at a high school, police said.
