Visitors to a local supermarket are being alerted that they may have been exposed to novel coronavirus (COVID-19). Residents of Putnam County and neighboring communities are being advised of possible COVID contamination at TOPS Friendly Markets, located on Route 6 in Carmel, by the Putnam County Department of Health. Lou Albano, the Putnam County director of code enforcement and son of the late pro wrestling icon Capt. Lou Albano, has pleaded guilty to charges related to an apartment break-in. Albano, who was facing a pair of felony charges, pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct this week in Carmel Town Court. His charges came following an incident in October. Route 7 Reckless Driver Caught After Four-Town Chase That Ends In NY
A Hudson Valley man who took police on a high-speed chase through four towns, three in Fairfield County, that finally ended with a crash in Putnam County has been arrested two years after the event. Daniel O'Brien, 38, of Liberty in Sullivan County turned himself into Wilton Police on May 29, after getting out of prison in connection with the chase that continued into New York and ended in Carmel, in Putnam County, according to the Wilton Police Department.
