Brewster Man Broke Into North Salem Residence, Police Say A Brewster man was busted breaking into a North Salem home, damaging the inside of the house in the process, police said. New York State Police troopers from the Somers barracks were dispatched to a Route 22 home shortly before 8 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 8, where there was a report of an intruder inside the residence. Upon arrival at the scene, troopers found 24-year-old Carlos Lopez, who was arrested after he allegedly broke into the home, damaging the kitchen stove and a window while doing so, police said.
