Brookfield Man Caught With Heroin, Cocaine After Complaint From Resident
Two people, including a Fairfield County resident, face charges after they were caught with heroin, cocaine, and prescription medication in the Hudson Valley during a suspected drug deal, police said. The arrests resulted from an incident in Putnam County on Thursday, Oct. 17 just before 10:30 p.m., when a caller told the Putnam County Sheriff's Office that drugs were possibly being sold from a car within the village of Brewster. Have You Seen Him? Westport Man Missing For 3 Days, Police Concerned For His Welfare
A Silver Alert has been issued for a Fairfield County man who has not been seen in three days and is in need of his medication. Todd Patrick Ford of Westport was last seen around 3 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 14 leaving the complex at 5 Canal St., on foot. According to Westport Police Lt. Matthew Gouveia, Ford is in need of prescription medication and the department is "concerned for his welfare." Ford is 5-foot-9, 190 pounds with short dark hair. Doctor In Fairfield County Accused Of Selling Prescriptions For Cash
A Fairfield County doctor has been charged by federal officials with health care fraud and selling prescriptions for cash. Dr. David Ciancimino, age 62, a resident of Trumbull, was arrested on Thursday, Sept. 23, on a federal criminal complaint charging him with health care fraud and controlled substances offenses related to the illegal distribution of prescription medication, said Leonard C Boyle, acting US Attorney for the District of Connecticut. A 56-year-old Fairfield County man was arrested after police conducted an undercover sting and learned that he was selling prescription medications and narcotics paid for by Medicaid. Anthony Spetrino, of Norwalk, reportedly sold Oxycodone, Clonazepam and Suboxone to Special Services Division members of the Norwalk Police Department during the month of May 2020. Sandy Hook Man Caught With Pills He Didn't Have Prescription For, Police Say
A 42-year-old man is facing drug charges after being busted with dozens of illegal prescription pills, police said. Shortly before 4:30 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 27, members of the Milford Police Department stopped Sandy Hook resident Stephen Sabia near the intersection of Dawes Street in Milford, when he committed an equipment violation. During the stop, police said that Sabia was found to be in possession of marijuana and more than 30 prescription medication pills, which he did not have a prescription for.
