The incident took place in Danbury around 4 a.m., Sunday, July 24, at Elmer's Diner on Padanaram Road. Danbury Police officers responded to the diner for the report of a fight with gunshots being fired. Danbury Family Displaced By Weekend Fire DANBURY, Conn. — A family was displaced early Saturday when a basement fire caused damage to their Padanaram Road home, according to Danbury fire officials. Firefighters were called to the home just before 7:30 a.m. on a report of smoke in the basement along with the odor of gas, said James Gagliardo, the department’s public information officer. Units quickly located the source and extinguished the blaze, he said. The American Red Cross was brought in to the assist the family. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Fire Marshal’s Office.
