A bright fireball streaked across the East Coast on Monday, Nov. 11, catching the attention of hundreds of people from Connecticut to Virginia (did you see it? Police are looking for a man who allegedly tried to take a FedEx delivery intended for a Darien homeowner. Police responded to the report of a suspicious person on Wednesday, June 19 at 5:41 p.m. at 4 Oak Park Ave. who was described as a middle-aged white male. The man reportedly had been standing on the street for a couple of hours before the call was made, said Darien Police. Deadly Tick-Borne Virus Confirmed In Area For Second Straight Year
A case of a deadly tick-borne virus has been confirmed in the Hudson Valley for the second straight year. Dutchess County health officials confirmed Tuesday that a case of the Powassan virus, a rare but potentially serious disease, has been found in a Dutchess County resident. The individual contracted the virus in the late spring and is currently recovering at home.
