New Arrest Made In Violent Fall Brawl In Westport
A man who told police he was an innocent bystander during a violent street fight following a traffic crash in Westport, has been charged with taking part in the violence. Jose Alvarado, 41, of Bridgeport, who told officers he was an innocent bystander, was later determined by detectives to have taken part in the assault of a Derby man, has been charged with assault after being arrested by Connecticut State Police and handed over to Westport Police. Fight Breaks Out In Westport Between Men Involved In Earlier Car Crash
A lengthy investigation into a fight outside an auto dealership led to the arrest of a Bridgeport man who now faces an assault charge after allegedly kicking a man in the head while he was down during the altercation. Officers from the Westport Police Department were dispatched to a stretch of Post Road at approximately 9 a.m. on Oct. 24 last year, where there were reports of a fight in the roadway between two men near the Volvo dealership. Shelton Man Nabbed For DWI On Sherwood Island Connector
A drunken driving arrest was made early Sunday morning on the Sherwood Island Connector, Westport police said. At about 2 a.m. on Feb. 4, police officers were dispatched on a report of a vehicle operating erratically and crossing multiple lanes of travel. The vehicle was observed traveling westbound on Greens Farms Road. It traveled through the intersection with Hillspoint Road without stopping for the stop sign. Library Employee In Fairfield County Possessed Child Porn, Police Say
A Westport Library employee wanted on a warrant for child porn charges, turned himself to police, according to the Westport Police Department. Robert Kelly, 43, turned himself over to police Monday after a warrant was issued last week following an intensive investigation conducted by state and local police in which numerous child porn photos were found on his computer and other electronic devices, said Lt. Patient Allegedly Assaulted By Fairfield Woman Westport Medical Facility
A 32-year-old Fairfield resident turned herself into police custody this week nearly two years after she allegedly assaulted a patient at a Westport medical facility, according to a report. Elizabeth Scoran surrendered to police in Fairfield on Wednesday, according to the Westport News report, after a warrant for her arrest was obtained. She allegedly assaulted a patient on May 8, 2016, leaving the patient with facial and head injuries. Scoran was charged with third-degree assault and released on $500 bond. She is due to appear in Norwalk Court next month to answer the charge.
