Bicyclist Injured After Being Struck By Vehicle In Fairfield County, Police Say A bicyclist was injured after being struck by a car in Fairfield County. The incident happened around 6:30 a.m., Friday, July 23, in Stratford, on Nichols Avenue. The driver of the vehicle remained on the scene, and the cyclist was transported to an area hospital with injuries, Stratford PD Capt. Frank Eannotti said. Eannotti said the incident is still under investigation and did not say how seriously the cyclist was injured. This is a developing story. Check back to Daily Voice for updates.

School Security Guard Drove Drunk With Daughter In Car, Police Say This story has been updated.  A 47-year-old school security officer who was driving his young daughter around trick or treating was arrested for drunk driving after he hit another vehicle, police said. Michael Barrett was charged Wednesday with the risk of injury to a child, operating under the influence and failure to drive right, said Stratford Police Capt. Frank Eannotti. Barrett works as a school security officer at Booth Hill School in the Trumbull school system, police said. He was arrested after police were called to Nichols and North avenues for a car accident.…
