Jamir Rawlings, 29, of Bridgeport, was hit by the train near Stamford around 6:50 p.m. Friday, according to MTA officials. The incident remains under investigation by MTA Police, officials said.

An unidentified person was struck and killed by a Metro-North New Haven Line train near the downtown Stamford station early Friday evening. The incident occurred around 6:50 p.m. The train had departed from Grand Central Station just before 6 p.m. Delays of a half-hour or more following the incident last for several hours. ID Released For Woman Hit, Killed By Metro-North Train A woman who was killed by a Metro-North New Haven Line train Thursday night has been identified, according to the MTA. Tricia Plotnik, 35, of Milford, was hit around 9 p.m. by a Grand Central-bound train just east of the Milford train station, said MTA spokesman Aaron Donovan. The incident caused delays, but MTA officials don't believe any criminal activity was involved. MTA police are investigating the incident, Donovan said.

MTA police investigators were dispatched to the New Canaan Metro-North station at approximately 7 a.m. on Tuesday morning following reports of an unattended bag. ID Released For Man Struck, Killed By Metro-North Train Police have identified the Westchester man who was fatally struck by a Metro-North train near the Beacon station late last week. A Metro-North spokesperson identified 29-year-old Yonkers resident Joseph Lanza as the unauthorized man who was struck and killed by a train at approximately 12:24 p.m. on Thursday, April 5 on the tracks just south of the Beacon station. According to the Metro-North spokesperson, Lanza was struck by the 10:43 a.m. train from Grand Central that was due into Poughkeepsie at 12:33 p.m. on the day he was hit.
