James Thompson Of Brewster Dies At 51 A Yonkers native and graduate of Yorktown High School, James M. Thompson Jr., died at his home in Brewster on Wednesday, Aug. 21, at age 51. Thompson was born on March 11, 1968. He was an over the road truck driver for Swift Transportation and a member of the Knights of Columbus, Fr. James T. Breen Council #7490 of Sacred Heart in Patterson. He enjoyed working on cars, and fishing said the obituary. The heart of St. John Vianney, Curé of Ars, France will visit the Parish of St. Catherine of Siena in Trumbull on Monday, April 29 and Tuesday, April 30, in the tour with the Knights of Columbus. St. John Vianney died on Aug. 4, 1859. His heart, which is normally kept for veneration at the Shrine of Ars in France, is said to be incorrupt. Most Americans Support Substantial Restrictions On Abortion, Marist Poll Says The new Marist Poll Survey has revealed that the majority of Americans are in favor of increased restrictions on abortion. About 75 percent of Americans agree that abortion should be limited to the first three months of pregnancy, at most. This includes both those who identify as Republicans, at 92 percent, independents, at 78 percent, and Democrats, at 60 percent, as well as 61 percent who identify as pro-choice.
