Under a new bill, Connecticut residents could be reimbursed up to $1,000 for spoiled food and medicine due to long power outages, but Eversource says that protection may come at a high price to customers. Eversource has been named America’s Most Responsible energy and utility company by Newsweek. In a new study, Eversource was recognized on the magazine’s list of “America’s Most Responsible Companies.” It ranked first in the energy and utility category and was 72nd out of 2,000 companies that were evaluated. Eversource Eyes Acquisition Of Connecticut Water
Eversource Energy announced on Thursday, April 19 that it made a proposal to acquire all outstanding shares of Connecticut Water Service, Inc. The proposal, made on April 5, would have allowed Eversource to acquire all the outstanding shares for $63.50 per share in cash, according to a news statement. With this proposal, Connecticut Water Service shareholders can take the payment or receive the equivalent shares in Eversource.
