23-Year-Old CT Mom Killed, 2 Children Injured In Crash A young Connecticut mother was killed and her two 3-year-old daughters were injured in a single-vehicle crash. The incident occurred in New Haven County around 8:30 a.m., Tuesday, March 12 in the area of 168 Jersey St., in Waterbury. Waterbury police responded to the area after receiving reports of a vehicle that crashed into a tree, said Lt. Ryan Bessette of the Waterbury Police. Bessette said officers found Jermiyiah Pegues, age 23, of Waterbury, and her two 3-year-old girls in the vehicle.
