Two-Alarm Condo Fire Breaks Out In Fairfield County
Two units of a four-story wood-frame condo complex in Fairfield County were deemed uninhabitable and a resident was burned after a swift-moving fire started in one of the units. The fire started around 10:45 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 24, in the area of Deer Hill Avenue and Wooster Street, in Danbury said James Gagliardo, of the Danbury Fire Department. Gas-Fed Fire Kitchen Fire Displaces Danbury Family
Firefighters were able to quickly extinguish a kitchen fire at a two-family residence in Fairfield County. The fire started around 6 p.m., Monday, Feb. 15, at the home located at 9 Cottage Street in Danbury. Fire and police units were immediately dispatched. Fire Heavily Damages Home, Displaces Residents In Danbury
A Fairfield County home was heavily damaged during a fire overnight as snow continued to come down in the area that received more than 18 inches of snow. The fire took place around 11:08 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 2, at 6 Sage Road, in the Lake Waubeeka area of Danbury, said James Gagliardo, communications director for the Danbury Fire Department. Six Hospitalized Following Two-Vehicle I-84 Crash In Danbury
Six people were hospitalized following a two-vehicle crash on a stretch of I-84. The crash took place around 9 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 28, on I-84 in Danbury, said James Gagliardo, public information officer for the Danbury Fire Department. The crash, which required the extrication of three people from one vehicle, took place between Exits 4 and 5, Gagliardo said. Shed Destroyed By Fire In Frigid Weather In Danbury
DANBURY, Conn. — Danbury firefighters quickly extinguished a fully involved blaze in a shed near a home on Jackson Drive on Friday afternoon, the department said in a statement. A 911 call came in at about 12:50 p.m. Friday about the fire, said a statement from James Gagliardo, communications coordinator for the department. When firefighters arrived, they found the shed in flames but posing no threat to the nearby home at 12 Jackson Drive, Gagliardo said.
