Gas-Fed Fire Kitchen Fire Displaces Danbury Family Firefighters were able to quickly extinguish a kitchen fire at a two-family residence in Fairfield County. The fire started around 6 p.m., Monday, Feb. 15, at the home located at 9 Cottage Street in Danbury. Fire and police units were immediately dispatched. Fire Heavily Damages Home, Displaces Residents In Danbury A Fairfield County home was heavily damaged during a fire overnight as snow continued to come down in the area that received more than 18 inches of snow.  The fire took place around 11:08 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 2, at 6 Sage Road, in the Lake Waubeeka area of Danbury, said James Gagliardo, communications director for the Danbury Fire Department.
