Freezing rain is expected to change over to plain rain by 10 a.m. Wednesday, the National Weather Service said in a Special Weather Statement issued early Wednesday morning. Danbury Man Arrested For Felony DWI, Resisting Arrest, Police Say A Fairfield County man was arrested by New York State Police in Westchester for allegedly driving drunk with a suspended license. Shamek Brown, age 49, of Danbury, was arrested on Wednesday, May 5 around 1:35 a.m., after being stopped on I-87 in Yonkers for a traffic violation, said Trooper Tara McCormick. During the stop, McCormick said officers found that he was intoxicated and was driving with a suspended license. When troopers attempted to take Brown into custody, he resisted arrest. CT Man Drove Drunk At More Than Twice Legal Limit In NY, Police Say New York State Police arrested a Connecticut man for alleged drunk driving after being stopped for a traffic violation in Rockland County. Samuel Johnson, 32, of Hamden in New Haven County, was arrested around 10:20 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 5, on I-87 in Clarkstown, said state police. One stopped, troopers found that Johnson was intoxicated and performed a blood alcohol test which showed that he was allegedly driving at twice the legal limit at 0.21 percent, state police said. Johnson was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated and was turned over to a sober third party.   …
