Man Falls 15 Feet From Hot Air Balloon At CT Fairgrounds, Police Say A 69-year-old Connecticut man who was volunteering at a hot air balloon event fell 10 to 15 feet while hanging on to the outside of the balloon. The incident took place in New Haven County around 9:40 p.m., Sunday, July 23, in Guilford. According to Guilford Police Chief Christopher Massey, officers responded to the Guilford Fairgrounds for a report of a person who had fallen from a hot air balloon. Man Barricaded In Home Leads To Shelter-In-Place Order On CT Street An armed Connecticut man who barricaded himself inside a home with a family member for more than a day and a half has killed himself, according to police. The New Haven County incident began in Guilford on Wednesday, April 13, when the fire department was called to a home on Durham Road.
