Federal Employee From Danbury Admits To Smuggling Phones, Contraband Into Prison A former employee at the Federal Correctional Institute in Danbury has admitted to smuggling mobile phones and contraband into the prison after being busted by a supervisor. Eric Williams, 38, of Danbury, pleaded guilty in Bridgeport federal court to one count of providing contraband in prison after he was caught trying to sneak it inside FCI Danbury inside his hat. On July 9, 2017, Williams - who worked in the Food Service Department at FCI Danbury - attempted to smuggle four mobile phones and an electric beard trimmer into the prison by hiding the items in the hat as he entered the staff …
