Suspect Nabbed For Fleeing Scene Of Fatal Crash In Fairfield County, Police Say A Fairfield County man has been arrested for allegedly fleeing the scene of a deadly crash that left a 26-year-old city man dead. The crash took place in the Town of Fairfield around 7:18 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 2 on Kings Highway East. Police received several 911 calls to report a crash involving a motorcycle on Kings Highway East near Jennings Road, said Lt. Michael Paris, of the Fairfield Police. Person Fatally Struck By Metro-North Train In Fairfield County, Police Say An investigation is underway after an individual was fatally struck by a Metro-North Train in Fairfield County. Police in the Town of Fairfield reported at about 4 p.m. on Wednesday, March 30 that officers were at the scene near 165 Commerce Drive. Fairfield Police said a male, whose age was not known, was struck and killed by the train. His identity has not been yet released.  Fairfield Police are assisting the MTA Police Department with the investigation, authorities said. This is a developing story.
