Former Fairfield County Resident Dies Unexpectedly At Age 25
A man who grew up in Fairfield County and pursued higher education opportunities out of state has died at the age of 25.
Luke Walter Kostrzewski, a former resident of Darien, died unexpectedly in Charleston, South Carolina, on Tuesday, July 19, according to his obituary.
He was born in Stamford and graduated from Darien High School.
According to his obituary, Kostrzewski also graduated from the College of Charleston, and he had plans to continue his education.

A teen suspect has been arrested in the shooting death of a 15-year-old Connecticut high school student killed while walking home from school.
New Haven County resident Jenigh Ward, age 18, of Hamden, was arrested Monday, June 6 on multiple charges relating to the homicide of 15-year-old Elijah Gomez, according to Hamden Police.
Ward was charged with murder, conspiracy to commit murder, and carrying a pistol without a permit.
He is being held on $1 million bond ahead of his next court date on Monday, June 13.

Covid-19: UConn Reinstates Mask Mandate Amid Rise In Cases
The University of Connecticut is reinstating its mask mandate amid a rise in COVID-19 cases across the state and region.
Officials announced that facial coverings will be required for students and staff through the remainder of the school ear due to the spring surge of new cases of the virus.
According to officials, the school will begin requiring masks beginning on Monday, April 18, for all instructional settings, workspaces, and indoor events exceeding 100 people.
