Dog Rescued After House Fire Breaks Out In Fairfield County
A dog was rescued and rushed to a veterinarian clinic after being rescued from a Fairfield County apartment fire. The fire took place in Norwalk around 7:50 p.m., Friday, Sept. 9, on France Street. The fire was located in a two-apartment unit at the rear of the property, said Edward McCabe, assistant chief operations for the Norwalk Fire Department. Dog Rescued From Hot Car Outside Business In Fairfield County
A dog was rescued from inside a hot car at a business parking lot in Fairfield County. The incident happened around 1:50 p.m. Monday, July 4 in New Fairfield. The temperature at the time was approximately 82 degrees, Connecticut State Police said. Officers observed the dog, a Yorkie, in distress, locked inside of a dark-colored car, with its windows rolled up in the back parking lot of a business on Route 39. A Connecticut woman who lost her 2-year-old rescue dog is a happy woman after the dog was rescued himself. Copper was rescued in Litchfield County by Amy La Russo, manager of Unleashed, a local New Milford kennel, after 13 days in the wild. Copper’s adventure began when walking with his owner Jean Mariano in Saga Meadow Park and he became spooked by a pick-up, said LaRusso. Firefighters Rescue Man Who Got Stuck In A Swamp Trying To Save His Dog
Firefighters rescued a man who jumped into a muddy swamp to save his dog on Wednesday, Sept. 30. At around 12:30 p.m. Milford 911 received a report of a person “stuck in the mud" at Eisenhower Park pond, firefighters said. The park is on North Street (Route 121). The man had become trapped in the murky waters after he tried to rescue his dog, “Ghost.” “Ghost the dog has decided to explore the pond area and became trapped and his owner attempted the initial rescue,” firefighters said. Know Her? Loose Dog Found In Ridgefield
Recognize her? Police in Ridgefield are hopeful of the public’s assistance as they attempt to reunite a missing dog with her family. The Ridgefield Police Department issued an alert on Thursday after a spayed female hound mix was found roaming in the area on Wednesday afternoon. The dog has no chip and was sporting a green collar when he was picked up.
