CT Man, 56, Killed in I-91 Crash After Rear-Ending Trailer: Police A 56-year-old Connecticut man was killed in a crash on I-91 in New Haven County, authorities said.  William Risley, of Watertown, died on Monday, Nov. 11, after he crashed into the back of a tractor-trailer truck on the interstate around 2 p.m., Connecticut State Police said.  According to the police report, Risley and the other vehicle were both in the center lane and had just passed exit 15 in Wallingford when the crash happened.  Paramedics rushed Risley to Midstate Hospital in Meriden, where he later died of his injuries.  The other driver, a 53-year-old man from S…

Two Students Injured During Fairfield County School Bus Crash, Police Say Two schoolchildren were hospitalized following a school bus crash which also injured the driver in Fairfield County. It happened just after 3 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 9 in the Town of Fairfield on Mountain Laurel road near Stroll Rock Common,  First responders reported the school bus struck a tree and the bus was transporting four Fairfield School children at the time of the collision, said Fairfield PD Lt. Police Charge Easton Man In Hit-Run Crash That Killed Woman, 32, In Fairfield Police have charged a local man in connection to a hit-and-run crash that claimed the life of a woman in Fairfield County over the July 4th weekend. Marileidy Morel Araujo, 32, of Matamoras, Pennsylvania, was killed in the crash that happened around 7:30 p.m. Saturday, July 4 in the Town of Fairfield in the area of 2000 Redding Road. Araujo was visiting family in Fairfield and was walking her dog at the time of the crash, police said.
