In a wild and crazy day, perhaps fittingly held at Foxwoods, Danbury Mayor Mark Boughton held off a strong challenge from former Trumbull First Selectman Tim Herbst and a strong showing from Stamford native Steve Obsitnik of Westport to win the Republican Party's Convention endorsement for governor at the casino in Mashantucket. New Canaan will be hosting the Connecticut Republican Party’s fourth and final gubernatorial debate on Wednesday, April 18 on the home turf of one of the more than a dozen GOP challengers.
