Thefts Of Bikes, Scooters On Rise At Train Stations In Fairfield County, Police Say As life slowly returns to normal in Fairfield County, and commuters hit the train stations to return to work, police are seeing an increased number of bike and moped thefts. Greenwich Police said the report of a stolen moped this week at the Old Greenwich Train Station is the second in recent weeks. Greenwich PD Captain Mark Zuccerella, said the department is investigating the crimes and have put extra patrols in the area. $850 Bicycle Stolen From Darien Train Station, Police Say Police are investigating after a bike worth approximately $850 was allegedly stolen from the Darien train station. Darien Police received a report from a man on Thursday, March 14 around 1:30 a.m. stating that a bicycle had been taken from the westbound platform bike rack of the train station (33 West Avenue). The victim further stated that he had locked his bicycle to the rack around 8:30 a.m. the morning prior. He reportedly returned to find both the bike and the lock missing.
