Horses Rescued After Fire Breaks Out At Barn Just Over CT Line
Around a dozen horses had to be rescued from a barn that caught on fire in the Hudson Valley, fire officials announced. The incident happened in Putnam County on Wednesday, Jan. 10 around 8:20 p.m., when the hay storage area inside a barn at the High Point Equestrian Center at 572 East Branch Rd. in Patterson caught on fire, according to the Putnam Lake Fire Department. After losing dozens of animals in a barn fire in New Haven County last week, people are digging into their hearts – and their pockets – to help one local non-profit recover from the tragedy. A fire ravaged Kelly's Kids Inc., located at 18 Spring Road in Prospect, on Friday night, Feb. 4, according to a GoFundMe campaign organized by Ashley Kiefer. Horse Barn Fire Breaks Out In Fairfield County
No horses were injured when a two-alarm horse barn fire broke out on the land of a private residence in Fairfield County. The blaze broke out around 5 a.m., Monday, Jan. 24, in New Canaan, on Silvermine Road. When firefighters arrived on the scene they found the three-stall barn with a hayloft fully engulfed in flames, said Assistant Fire Chief Albe Bassett, of the New Canaan Fire Department.
