Fairfield County College Grad, One Of Top Golf Writers In US, Dies At 66
Native New Yorker Tim Rosaforte, one of the most prominent and popular golf writers in the country, died at the age of 66 after a battle with Alzheimer’s disease.
He was born in Northern Westchester, in Mount Kisco, and graduated from Brewster High School in Putnam County.
Rosaforte was the first journalist to be awarded an honorary membership by the PGA of America in 2020 during a career that spanned more than four decades in various media including newspapers, magazines, books, and television.

Home Health Aid Sentenced For Stamford Thefts
A Bridgeport home health aide hired to care for an elderly Alzheimer's patient was sentenced to five years in jail Friday for stealing $26,000 from the 81-year-old woman.
During sentencing in Stamford, Philliann Barnett, 39, was given a 10-year sentence, reduced by half. She will also have to pay restitution and will serve five years of probation following her release.
Barnett, who was arrested in December 2015 for the crime, committed numerous acts of fraud, which led to losses of over $26,000 to the Springdale woman, the Stamford Police said following an investigation.
