Connecticut Man Busted With Two Kilos Of Fentanyl In Traffic Stop
A Connecticut man was busted by Westchester County Police with two kilograms of fentanyl during a traffic stop on the Saw Mill River Parkway. Officers stopped Waterbury resident Orlando Garcia at approximately 5 p.m. on Thursday, July 23 when he committed a traffic violation on the parkway near County Police Headquarters in Hawthorne. A 21-year-old Fairfield County man wanted in West Virginia for a marijuana possession charge was arrested in Westchester after being busted by a witness driving with a blood alcohol content double the legal limit, police said. New York State Police investigators in Brewster are seeking the public’s assistance as they attempt to track down a man wanted in Putnam County who was busted with stolen credit cards while allegedly driving while impaired in a stolen vehicle. A wanted Fairfield County man is facing new charges in Northern Westchester after failing to appear in court following his arrest and bail jumping, police said. Danbury resident Anthonie Ogilvie was arrested on Monday, Jan. 28 after failing to show up in court for aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle dating back to an incident last year. According to police, on Dec. 18 last year, Ogilvie failed to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on the original charge, and a bench warrant was issued for his arrest. Man, Woman From Brewster Face Separate Charges After Route 22 Stop
A man and woman of Brewster are both facing charges following a traffic stop initiated by a Putnam County Deputy Sheriff. The deputy sheriff pulled over a vehicle on Route 22 in Patterson that allegedly committed a traffic violation Tuesday, Nov. 20. Upon further inspection, the deputy learned that the vehicle’s driver, 40-year-old John Covias, had a suspended license in addition to two active warrants out from the Duchess County Sheriff’s Office.
