Danbury Flyers Participate In Meet During Spring Break

DANBURY, Conn. -- The Danbury Flyers wrapped up spring break by competing in the first the 12th annual New York Relays April 24 at Icahn Stadium in Randall's Island, N.Y.. 

At this highly competitive meet, the Flyers earned six medals in three events. 

Kimberleigh Williams brought home a gold medal for her performance (girls 11-12) shot put with a throw of 19' 9.4". The (girls 11-12) 4x400-meter relay team of Emily Reinoso, Victoria Batista, Williams and Vivian Mendez earned silver medals by finishing their event in 6:15.7. Dan Manfredionia brought home the final medal, a bronze, for his efforts in the (boys 7-8) shot put by completing a throw of 11' 3.04".
