Schools Announce Closures, Delays After Icy Nor'easter In Fairfield County

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. — The following school districts in the area have announced closures or delays for Tuesday, Jan. 24, after an icy nor'easter moved through the area Monday night into Tuesday morning.

• Bethel Schools: closed
• Brookfield Schools: closed
• Danbury Schools, including Immaculate High, Abbott Tech and Wooster School: closed
• Easton, Redding, and Region 9 Schools: closed
• Monroe Schools: Closed
• New Fairfield Schools: Closed
• Newtown Schools: closed
• Ridgefield Schools: closed
• Shelton Schools: two-hour delay
• Sherman Schools: closed
• Trumbull Schools, including Christian Heritage: two-hour delay

Here are some other closures and delays in the area: 

• Danbury Senior Center: closed
• HART buses running on snow routes
• Ridley-Lowell School: closed
• Sherman Senior Center: no a.m. activities
