DANBURY, CONN. ? Mayor Mark Boughton said on Twitter that Danbury schools are not on lockdown, but that police presence has been increased at all school buildings as a precaution after the shootings in Newtown.
He has also called for all police officers scheduled for the 4 to 12 shift to report to work early.
"Pray for the victims," Boughton said.
