DANBURY, Conn. -- Students at Pembroke Elementary School in Danbury joined in the holiday spirit by collecting food for the region's less fortunate citizens.

Third-graders collected food which will be distributed through the Salvation Army. This is the 14th year the school has participated in the community service project.
