Tyler Woods has displayed good citizenship many times, including when he recently offered to carry a classmate’s backpack because that student was using crutches, said Sarah Rand, middle school dean of students, in a press release.
Woods “brightens the day of so many members of our community with his kind heart, great sense of humor, positive disposition, and fun loving spirit,” Rand said.
“We are very honored to recognize for his outstanding citizenship!”
Some of the comments Rand received from Wooster staff members about Woods are as follows.
“I am struck by his proactive attitude and ever-increasing sense of agency over his learning. He does not shy away from a good challenge! His success in class has been in large part due to his determination to succeed…”
“Being around his positive energy and smile always reminds me how grateful I am to be working in a school environment. He is always finding a way to make others laugh…”
“Time and time again, he has exemplified a kind and tender heart. He is always cheering on his peers and goes out of his way to encourage and support others. He is a really amazing kid!”
