DANBURY, Conn. -- This article was written and submitted to the Daily Voice by Sarah Rand, middle school dean of students at Wooster School in Danbury:
Our seventh-grade honoree, Dylan Rosemark, is kind, compassionate, insightful, and incredibly hard working. He has the wonderful ability to commit to his school work and be completely checked in while also being one of the first to lend a hand to a teacher or classmate. He is a great friend and fun to be around with his playful spirit and great sense of humor. He is respectful to adults and peers and as a result is a respected member of our community.
Job captains have requested this student as a worker because he is known for his strong work ethic and friendly demeanor. In the classroom he truly cares about learning and his teachers describe him as being a deep thinker and great conversationalist. He shows enthusiasm and curiosity to learn new things, making him an absolute joy to teach.
Holding his own with the upper schoolers in this winter’s musical, "Once Upon a Mattress," could not have been easy and he certainly made it look that way. His directors share that he has grown by leaps and bounds as an actor. He remembered choreography and cues at times when others had forgotten them, and he grew braver and more spontaneous every day.
He was up to par with the experience and talent of the upper school actors. He was a total team player and he was brilliant. Those who worked with him on the play are grateful for his generous spirit and commitment to his work both on stage and behind the scenes.
One resounding observation from so many teachers of this student is the amount of growth that he has achieved and how much courage he has -- as a student, as an actor, and as a valued member of our community.
Despite the unknown, regardless of whatever challenge or obstacle he faces, he approaches with a great attitude and valiant effort. We are so incredibly honored and excited to recognize the outstanding citizenship and positive contributions to our school community by Dylan Rosemark.
