Megan was named the winner and Julong was named the runner-up in the contest.
The students acted upon the invitation from McLachlan to participate in the contest. To participate, students wrote essays on the topic of notable Connecticut women and their contributions and accomplishments.
Megan and Julong received a State of Connecticut General Assembly Official Citation.
“Your well-written essay truly captures the importance of leadership, determination and trailblazing spirit," McLachlan said. "We commend you for your commitment to academic excellence. My best wishes to you for continued success in your studies and future endeavors. The entire membership extends its very best wishes on this memorable occasion and expresses the hope for continues success."
Wooster School is an independent, co-educational college preparatory day school, serving students from Fairfield and Westchester counties. Located in Danbury, the school serves students from pre-K through grade 12.
