Godfrey Defeats DeMuth, Wins 110th House District In Danbury

DANBURY, Conn. — State Rep. Bob Godfrey (D) won the 110th District in the state House of Representatives, defeating Scott DeMuth (R) in a 3,445 to 1,255 vote in Tuesday’s election, according to the registrar.

Godfrey was running for his 13th term against DeMuth.

Godfrey, a Danbury resident, is deputy speaker of the state House of Representatives and serves as a member of the Judiciary, Government, Administration and Elections, and Legislative Management committees. He is also chairman of the Council of State Governments. Before serving the 110th District, Godfrey was a lawyer, pet shop manager, Danbury Common Council member, and served in the U.S. Naval Reserve.

DeMuth is a Realtor and remodeling contractor in Danbury.
