After months of campaigning, the presidential race between President Barack Obama (D) and former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney (R) will be decided.
The battle for the Connecticut’s 5th Congressional District places state Sen. Andrew Roraback (R) against Elizabeth Esty (D).
On the state level, Michael McLachlan (R) is running for his third term as a state senator in Connecticut's 24th District, which includes Danbury, Bethel, New Fairfield and Sherman. He is challenged by Jason Bartlett (D) of Bethel. Danbury will also choose state representatives. David Arconti Jr. (D) and Andrew Wetmore (R) will compete to replace the retiring Rep. Joseph Taborsak (D) as the 109th District's representative in the State House of Representatives. Rep. Bob Godfrey (D) will defend his seat in the 110th District of the State House of Representatives, running for his 13th term against Scott DeMuth (R). Rep. Janice Giegler (R) is running unopposed for her sixth term in the 138th District of the State House of Representatives.
Here's where residents of Danbury's seven wards will be voting: • Ward 1: Danbury High School Gym, Beckerle Street • Ward 2: Pembroke School Gym, 34 Pembroke Road • Ward 3: Broadview Middle School Cafeteria, 72 Hospital Ave. • Ward 4: Shelter Rock School Gym, 2 Crows Nest Lane • Ward 5: Danbury War Memorial Gym, Memorial Drive • Ward 6: Park Avenue School Gym, 82 Park Ave. • Ward 7: Mill Ridge Intermediate School Gym, 1 School Ridge Road
