The bill, proposed by Danbury's Rep. David Arconti (D), passed overwhelmingly in the house, 129-19. It would allow Connecticut to join 43 other states that already allow the automated dispensers. The machines would help promote the growing craft beer industry by allowing patrons to sample small amounts of different beers, according to CT News Junkie.
Arconti said the self-pour dispensers would have safeguards put in place to prevent over consumption, CT Junkie said.
The bill will now be passed to the senate.
