Worker Seriously Injured In Construction Site Accident In Danbury

DANBURY, Conn. -- A worker was seriously injured in an accident Monday at the construction site in the parking lot of North Street Shopping Center.

Two employees of CJ Fucci Construction were onsite to transfer material to another location about 1:34p.m.

An excavator operated by Kenneth Hodgon, 49, struck Imad Sayad. Sayad was pinned against a second excavator and suffered serious leg and head injuries.

Sayad was transported to Danbury Hospital for treatment, where his injuries were reported as serious but not life-threatening.

Danbury Police Department Traffic Division is investigating the accident. There are no charges at this time.

The accident took place near the McDonald's restaurant on Padanaram Road.
