Suspect On Loose After Shooting In Danbury

The Danbury Police Department is currently investigating a shooting which took place in the area of Ellsworth and Hospital Avenues Thursday afternoon, Jan. 17.

Danbury police are on the hunt for a man who shot another person near two schools.

Police said there is one victim being treated at the Danbury Hospital for a gunshot wound to the arm.

The shooter was last seen in the area of Wooster Cemetery.

Reports indicate that he was on foot in the area and he is described as a young adult wearing a blue dew rag and a black NorthFace backpack.

Two schools in the area, Ellsworth Avenue and WCSU, have been asked to implement security measures.
