Police are asking for help identifying a woman who was hit and killed while walking along Route 17 in Glastonbury.

Glastonbury Police found the woman around 6:18 Tuesday on Main Street/Route 17, in the area of Water Street.

The woman was transported to Hartford Hospital by EMS personnel where she died. The driver of the vehicle stopped and was cooperative with investigators. No charges have been filed, police stated.

Metro Traffic Services responded to the scene to assist the Glastonbury Police Department with the reconstruction of the scene, police said.

The woman did not have any ID, so police are asking for help.

She is described as a white female, 40-60 years old, reddish grey hair, wearing glasses with purple frames, a green Cabela’s raincoat and rain pants, black winter style hiking boots, and socks with pumpkins on them.

She was carrying a small red bag and a New York Yankees drink tumbler.

Anyone who can possibly identify this woman is asked to contact Officer Sharov at 860-633-8301.
