DANBURY, Conn. -- A Bridgeport man was arrested in his work cubicle in a Danbury office after reports of a "disgruntled employee pacing in the parking lot holding a gun," police said.
Danbury officers responded to the report at Eastern Account System, 3 Corporate Drive, at about 3:30 p.m. Thursday, April 9, police said.
While officers were en route, dispatch advised that the suspect, later identified as Ariteigh Bailey, 22, had gone into the office and was sitting at his desk with his head down, police said in a statement.
It was unclear whether Bailey had the gun or not, police said. Upon arrival, the officers made "a tactical entry" and located Bailey at his cubicle, police said.
Bailey initially failed to comply with officers' orders to show his hands, but eventually he complied, police said. A replica handgun was located in Bailey's vehicle, police said.
He was charged with second-degree breach of peace and transported by Danbury EMS to Danbury Hospital for evaluation.
No injuries were reported.
