At 11:45 p.m. Tuesday, officers were dispatched to a robbery in progress near the Wildman Street bar, police said.
A man there told officers that he was walking in the area when a vehicle stopped next to him and the passenger asked him whether he was from the area, police said.
The victim said he answered, "no," and then the passenger produced a handgun and demanded his money, police said.
The victim said he then ran around the corner to the Cowboy Bar and called the police.
Based upon the victim's description, officers located Jason Bonadio, 33, and Julio Irizarry, 46, at their residence on Terrace Place in Danbury, police said.
Bonadio was charged with interfering, second-degree breach of peace and first degree conspiracy to commit robbery. He was held on a $25,000 bond.
Irizarry was charged with first-degree criminal attempt to commit robbery, first-degree conspiracy to commit robbery, second-degree breach of peace and interfering. He was held on $25,000 bond
