One person is dead and another injured in a late-night officer-involved shooting at a residential complex in Danbury on Saturday.
Details surrounding what led to the incident at the Glen Senior Apartments on Memorial Drive, which occurred around 9:30 p.m., have not yet been released.
Neither the person killed or the person who injuries are described as non-life threatening was a police officer, Danbury Mayor Mark Boughton said.
State police arrived on scene after the incident to conduct an investigation of the shooting.
Boughton also visited the scene and posted on Twitter late Saturday evening, "Just want to emphasize that there is no threat to any of the tenants."
