DANBURY, Conn. — A New York man suffered minor injuries after rolling his car over and then down an embankment in a single-vehicle crash Wednesday morning on I-84 east in Danbury, state police said.
The crash happened when the 41-year-old man from New York State lost control of his car and struck the wire guardrails near Exit 7, WLAD said.
Then the car went 200 feet down an embankment and came to rest in a riverbed, WLAD said. He was cited for failure to drive in the established lane.
The crash caused backups for a few hours at the end of the morning rush-hour, the state Department of Transportation said.
The crash scene was cleared by a wrecker.
