Moving Up: Danbury Fire Department Veteran Promoted To Captain

DANBURY, Conn. — Lt. Bart McCleary, a 30-year veteran member of the Danbury Fire Department, was promoted Monday to the rank of fire captain.

Family members and co-workers along with representatives of many other city agencies, including Mayor Mark Boughton, gathered to in City Hall to congratulate him on his promotion. 

McCleary brings many years of experience as a firefighter and fire officer to his new position of captain. 

He will be starting his new chapter in his career this week on D shift.
